Where to take your pitbull for a walk in South Africa
We have found quite a few places around South Africa for taking pitbulls, almost all of the time we take our pitbulls to Gillooly's farm in Bedfordview johannesburg, very nice for walking the dogs but cant imagine it when its full.
We have to go during the weekdays and early morning then they have the place to them selves, often there are other people with dogs or homeless people walking around but that i would say is the best time for walikng pitbulls.

There are many goverment parks that allow dog walking but they not big enough really for a pitbull, even just a walk down the road if you stay in a place with a small yard is not enough.

Pitbulls are ment to be active most of the day and we often take them on lonk hikes 10km or 5km depending on what the place has to offer like Meyersdal farm they have excellent hiking for you and your pitbull.

The dogs need to be on leash the whole time as our Female ran wild trying to bite the dassies running on the farm with her hunting instinct.

Before we had the female pitbull we went on a hike in Nelspruit by the Kaap Se Hoop there are excellent hikes for you and your pitbull as well will for sure be going back there.

Tips for walking your pitbull
1) When going on long walks or hikes you should carry water for your pitbull
2) When walking your dog you should have a harness or coke cain which ever feels more comfortable for you
3) Your pitbull is very strong and can pull them selves out of your grip you should make sure your pitbull listens to your commands should he or she pulls away from you
4) A restraint for the mouth is also a good idea if your pitbull has some anger issues towards other dogs
5) Pitbulls have a huting instinct so if you can always carry your breaking stick for pitbulls (very handy)
